Panchal Samaj

Our History

The Panchal community traces its origins to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and craftsman of the gods. The five sons of Vishwakarma — Manu, Maya, Tvastar, Shilpi, and Devagya — are considered the forefathers of the Panchal lineage, each representing a distinct craft tradition: ironwork, woodwork, bronze and bell-metal work, stonemasonry, and goldsmithery.

Over centuries, the Panchal community has been integral to the cultural and economic fabric of India, particularly in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Our ancestors built the magnificent temples, intricate jewellery, and sturdy tools that shaped civilisations.

The modern Panchal Samaj was formally organised in the early 20th century, with the establishment of community trusts, schools, and welfare programmes. Today, we continue that legacy through this digital platform, connecting thousands of families across the globe.
